The memorial...

The scholarship is given in memory of Woodinville High School math teacher Marv Cook who suffered a fatal heart attack in the spring of 2003.
Memorials received at the school following his death provide two $750 scholarships to 2003 graduates. Further memorials and a grant from the Woodinville Rotary Club made it possible to establish an endowed scholarship for a Woodinville graduate planning to follow a career in math or science or in teaching those subjects.
Marv joined the Woodinville faculty when the school opened in 1983 after previously teaching at Inglemoor High School and in the Edmonds School District where he made his home.
