The memorial...

The Keener family settled in the Bothell area in the 1920s and Vern and Lois Keener were active for many years in business in Bothell and as members of the Bothell First Methodist Church. The Keeners operated Keener's Fine Meats on Main Street in Bothell, a business that attracted customers from throughout the Puget Sound to its old-fashioned, sawdust-on-the-floor meat market.
