Endowment Established - 1986

Purpose...
  
To encourage students in the pursuit of a business education. 

Criteria...
  
Applicants must demonstrate interest in the business fields of accounting, finance, marketing, retail sales, business management or banking or in the forest products industry.

Selection...
  
Applicants will be interviewed by the scholarship committee of the Northshore Rotary Club.  Applicants are advised to be prepared to provide additional information related to financial need, business interest and service to school and the community.

2010 Value...    One $1,500 award

   The scholarship is supported with funds from the Dean Worthington Memorial Account with the scholarship bearing the name of the 
Knoll-Worthington Business Scholarship.

The memorial...
  
Carl Knoll of Kenmore was founder of Knoll Lumber and Hardware.  He was a charter member and served as Northshore Rotary president. Carl was active in his church and in regional lumber associations, with special interest in student foreign exchange programs. He and his wife Lorna were host in 1963-64 to Yves Mosse of  Nime, France, a student who still maintains contact with schoolmates and Rotarians as a resident of Caen, France.
