Purpose...
 
To encourage the growth and development of graduate level students who demonstrate leadership qualities and are desirous of entering the field of business management -- with strong interests in human resources and organizational behavior.

Criteria...
  
Candidates must be accept for and enrolled in the Masters of Business program at the University of Washington Bothell,  and intends to continue and/or pursue a career in business with a special emphasis in human resources and/or management.

The Woodinville Rotary Club Jerry Wilmot MBA Scholarship is offered to encourage the academic and professional development of graduate students who demonstrate leadership qualities and are desirous of entering the field of Business Management. Jerry Wilmot, former president and general manager of Molbak's Inc., effectively applied human resources and organizational behavior leadership skills to achieve team concepts at his work as well as in his community service endeavors. The scholarship is a tribute to his contribution to others and his commitment to a personal style of management, so rare in today's business world. His motto was to "act beyond reproach and respect others." The $2,500 scholarship provides assistance for 2013-14 tuition to a University of Washington Bothell (UWB) graduate student enrolled in the Master of Business Administration Program who:

         Demonstrates outstanding academic performance

         Demonstrates exceptional leadership qualities

         Demonstrates a strong commitment to service in the community and to others

         Has financial need (if applicable)

Applicants apply at UW Bothell. The Deadline is August 31, 2013. Candidates are interviewed by the Woodinville Rotary Club Scholarship Review Committee in cooperation with faculty of University of Washington Bothell graduate programs.

The memorial...
  
Established by the Woodinville Rotary Club in memory of Jerry Wilmot, a Woodinville community leader who was general manager and president of Molbak's, Inc.  His special business interests were in the field of human resources and organizational behavior.  He died in 1994 of Lou Gehrig's disease. 
   Jerry was a charter member and served as president of the Woodinville Rotary Club and was active in civic affairs in  Woodinville. He was instrumental in drawing diverse community interests together in city planning endeavors and in the consideration for incorporation.
   He was a native of Minnesota, served in the Navy as a pilot during the Viet Nam war and, at the time of his death, was president and general manager of Molbak's in Woodinville. He was a strong supporter of education, serving on the faculty of "Business Week" programs for high school students.
