      PLEASE NOTE:  Scholarships are offered through the Northshore Scholarship Foundation, a local nonprofit organization.  The application form for these scholarships is called
“The Northshore Scholarship Foundation Application” and is available only Online at 

Application

     Applicants for these scholarships must reside within Northshore School District boundaries or be attending Northshore high schools on an approved waiver and attend Inglemoor High School.

     It is acceptable to duplicate the application if applying for more than one foundation scholarship that asks for the same application information.  Transcripts need not be official or sealed.

Inglemoor High School applicants only

 

Northshore Rotary – Karen Forys Scholarship (Inglemoor) One scholarship of $1,500 will be awarded.  It is sponsored by Northshore Rotary Club.  Academic achievement, service to others and plans to attend a four-year college will be criteria.  Financial need is a consideration.  Use standard Northshore Scholarship Foundation application form.  No letters of recommendation are to be attached.  Finalists will be interviewed.  Finalists will be notified of time and place of interviews.  Winners will be notified by May 7.  Applications are due February 27, 2009 at the Counseling office of Inglemoor High School.  

J.R. Suarez Memorial Scholarship (Inglemoor) - One scholarship of $1,500 will be awarded.  Candidates will be graduating seniors from Inglemoor High School who plan to pursue higher education after graduation.  Use standard Northshore Scholarship Foundation application form including a description of the person who has been the biggest inspiration in your life and why.  Also explain how the lessons learned from this inspiring role model are manifested in your life each day. No letters of recommendation are to be attached.  The winner will be notified by May 7.  Applications are due February 27, 2009 at the Inglemoor High School Counseling Office.  

Northshore Rotary Academic Scholarship (Inglemoor) One scholarship of $1,500 will be awarded.  It is sponsored by Northshore Rotary Club.  Academic achievement, service to others and plans to attend a four-year college will be criteria.  Financial need is a consideration.  Use standard Northshore Scholarship Foundation application form.  No letters of recommendation are to be attached.  Finalists will be interviewed.  Finalists will be notified of time and place of interviews.  Winners will be notified by May 7.  Applications are due February 27, 2009 at the Counseling office of Inglemoor High School.  

Kiwanis Club of Northshore Si Siverson Academic Scholarship (IHS) The scholarship amount will be $1,500.  The scholarship is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Northshore.  Criteria will include leadership and service to the school or community.  Candidates must demonstrate potential for academic success. Active Key Club members are encouraged to apply. Financial need will be a consideration.  Use the standard Northshore Scholarship Foundation application form.  No letters of recommendation are to be attached. Winners will be notified by May 7.  Applications are due February 27, 2008 at the Counseling Office at Inglemoor High School.

Philip Lorey Memorial Scholarship. (Primarily Inglemoor) The scholarship amount will be $1,500. In the case of equally qualified candidates, preference will be given to candidates from Inglemoor High School. Candidates will be planning to pursue training and careers in teaching ministries, missions or Christian music. Applicants will demonstrate academic success that is indicative of success in college and be able to discuss educational goals and career commitment. Applicants should also be able to show evidence of a Christian service life style. Finalists will be interviewed. Use the standard Northshore Scholarship Foundation application form and include a statement of personal faith and two personal references. Financial need will be considered. Applications are due February 27, 2009 at the high school counseling office. Winner will be notified by May 7.

Chris Lin Memorial Scholarship (Inglemoor)One scholarship of $1,500 will be awarded.  Interest in pursuing a career in music composition, creative writing, or musical performance will be primary criteria.  Financial need, good citizenship and service to the school will be considered.  A minimum GPA of 2.75 is required.  Use the standard Northshore Scholarship Foundation application form and include a sample of writing or musical composition.  No letters of recommendation are to be attached.  The winner will be notified by May 7. Applications are due February 27, 2009 at the Inglemoor High School Counseling Office.
