Les & Vista Anderson Memorial Vocational
Tuition Assistance Grants.
Several grants of $1,500 will be awarded and will be eligible for a
renewal for a second year of study if good progress is demonstrated in the
first year of the grant.
Applicants must show a serious intent to study in a one- or two-year
program at a community college or vocational/technical school.
The scholarship may also be used to support an apprenticeship.
(The grants are not to be used for community college if the
educational goal is to transfer to a four-year college.)
Financial need will be a consideration.
The scholarships are sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Northshore.
Applicants may
be current seniors or former students whose class has already graduated.
Use the standard Northshore Scholarship Foundation application
form. No letters of recommendation are required.
Winners will be notified by May 1.
For graduating seniors and qualifying former students, applications
are due February 5, 2010 at a Northshore School District High School
Counseling Office; for renewals, submitted to the Foundation by March 31,
2010.
Northshore Rotary S.A.S. Scholarship
One scholarship of $1,500 will be
awarded. It is sponsored by
Northshore Rotary Club. Use
the standard Northshore Scholarship Foundation application form. The
winner will be notified by May 1.
Applications are due February 5, 2010 at the S.A.S. Counseling
Office.
Woodinville Rotary Make a Difference
Scholarships
(WHS and SAS ONLY).
The scholarship amount will be $7,500 if attending a four-year school, or
$3,500 if attending a two-year program. Several scholarships are
available. The scholarship is sponsored by Woodinville Rotary Club.
Criteria will include academic achievement, service to others, and
evidence of acceptance to a qualifying college. Selection will be based on
the applicant’s demonstrating that he or she would not be able to attend
college without a scholarship that covers a substantial portion of
tuition, books and fees. The
recipient will attend a Washington state-operated, two- or four-year
institution of higher learning. Use standard Northshore Scholarship
Foundation application form. No letters of recommendation are to be attached.
Finalist interviews will be conducted.
Finalists will be notified of the time and place of interviews.
Winners will be notified by May 1.
Applications are due February 5, 2010 at the Woodinville High
School or SAS counseling offices.
