Following the opening of the University of Washington's branch in Bothell in 2001, the club established scholarship support there in the fields of business, nursing and teaching. Above, past club president and present Foundation trustee Steve Dolan is pictured at the 2002 recognition breakfast with scholarship recipients Robin Taylor (nursing), Marcy Goodman (teaching) and Cynthia Corsine (Wilmot business).

   The Jerry Wilmot scholarship is awarded at $2,500 per academic year for a student seeking a masters in the business program. The $2,000 nursing stipend is for a bachelors degree program, the $2,000 scholarship in education is to help a student complete teaching certification. The $2,000 Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences program scholarship is for someone following a specialty in Global studies; Science, technology and the environment; or Society, ethics and human behavior.
   The club added its first scholarship in the Computing and Software Systems program, also valued at $2,000, for the academic year 2006-07. After the school began admitting freshmen in the fall of 2006, the club now provides a renewable, $2,000 scholarship for a Woodinville High School (or Northshore schools) graduate who plans to follow the business track at UW-Bothell beginning in academic year 2007-08.

   Since joining the Foundation in 1988, Woodinville Rotary has contributed $35,000 to establish its own endowment and $31,000 to establish a scholarship account in memory of past president and community leader Jerry Wilmot.

   In addition the club donated $5,000 to help establish the Julian Karp Emerging Scholar award given in memory of the late superintendent of Northshore schools. It also contributed to the endowment in memory of Kenmore Air Harbor founder and past Foundation trustee Bob Munro.

   The club contributed $5,000 to start the  Theater Arts Scholarship fund in tribute to the dynamic community theater activist Peg Phillips, founder of Woodinville Repertory Theater and a character actor in the hit television series "Northern Exposure".

   The club annually provides more than $25,000 in scholarships through money raised through its annual charity-fund raising event held the first Saturday of October:

   $6,000 to offer four, $1,500 academic scholarships for graduates at Woodinville High School;

   $1,500 to offer a leadership scholarship at WHS in memory of Mark Hariri;

   $1,500 to a Northshore graduate who intends to make teaching a career;

   $1,500 Peg Phillips Memorial Theater Arts Scholarship for a graduate involved with high school drama and with the Woodinville Repertory Theater.

  $ 2,500 for the Jerry Wilmot Memorial Business Management Scholarship for a graduate student in the master's program at University of Washington branch at Bothell.

   $ 2,000 for the Teacher Certification Scholarship at the UW-Bothell.

   $ 2,000 for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Scholarship at UW-Bothell.

   $ 2,000 for a scholarship for a student enrolled in the Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences program at UW-Bothell.

   $2,000 for a scholarship for a student enrolled in the Computing Systems and Software program at UW-Bothell.

   $2,000 for the new Marv Workman Business scholarship for a Woodinville High School graduating senior who enrolls at UW-Bothell as an entering freshman and who intends to pursue a business career with emphasis in accounting.

   $2,000 for a new scholarship to a Woodinville High School graduating senior who will enroll at Cascadia Community College with plans to obtain an A.A. degree at Cascadia and then transfer to one of the five degree-granting programs at UW-Bothell.

   $ 3,000 for two $1,500 2008 Vit-Enol scholarships for  students preparing for careers in the Woodinville and state's fast growing wine industry. The scholarships are offered at  Walla Walla Community College and at Washington State University for students serious about following a career in the state and Woodinville's fast-growing wine industry. The application form for the awards  are found on the website.
