The memorial...

Shawn Gardner graduated from BHS in 2002 and died tragically, in August following graduation. He worked very hard and his future was bright, he was to  attend Gonzaga University in the fall, with a scholarship in computer engineering. Smart , talented, kind  and so thoughtful of others, Shawn would want to help others to make this world a better place. So in honor of Shawn and through the generosity of family, friends and the Woodinville Rotary Club, we offer this scholarship. For those students who truly want to make a difference in this world and pass there gifts along to others. Considerations are based on based on heart, soul , need and desire.

As a leader, I will strive to help youth and teens through communication and motivation. By hard work and dedication, my plan is to earn the trust of these individuals; I will help coach them through peer pressure and inspire them to believe in themselves.
